My Boy

Ok, this is just a wild hair blog. Last night we went to a bar to listen to Daniel play bass in a band he has recently joined. Now, first I will say, he is an awesome bassist. But, the point of this is in watching him, I was watching him do what he was created to do. Seeing him be so into the music and the joy of playing. He was indeed worshipping his creator in fulfilling the gift he was given. Hopefully we all have those passions in our lives. It is what we were created for. It is our worship.

Isn't it great? I had a similar moment the other night when my two older boys were playing their guitars and keyboard in the bedroom...just worshiping. It was really cool and so wonderful to see them using the gift God has given them to worship Him.

Much better then them trying to see who can make the bigger bruise on each other!

Yeah. It is great. Liam walks around singing over and over and over, "Oh no! You never let go, through the hm and through the hm. Oh no! You never let go!" I had a nice talk with him to explain who he's singing about, that it's God who never let's go of us through the hm's and the hm's. :)
OK. Maybe that's a little different, but it has to start somewhere, right?
