The Image

This morning while thinking about what I said in my last post I chose my God image for the now...Christ on the Cross. In my journal I wrote,

"Jesus is who I love"

"He is the image of God"

I then wrote and will continue to write all that Jesus showed us to explain God. I'm going to live with this for a while. I'm going to hold my Christ-God image close. This is how I know God.

That's a good idea. I really need to start journaling again... I have my old journals packed away in the garage and there's room left in each of them. I start to journal and then stop, and then I feel like I need to start fresh with a new journal. But that doesn't seem very environmentally conscious, but rather wasteful. Hmm.
I still want a new journal and a fresh start. :)

I came across a sort of journal I did 30 years ago (am I that old?). It was more like a record of the first women's Bible study group I ever led. It was a very powerful time and it sure was fun to look back at names and what God did. I do well for a while with my journal then I'll skip a week or two. One of the best things I've read lately about journal making is to remember it is not a diary. So, you write when you have something to say. Good thought, huh?
